The National Basketball Players Association’s formal player representatives vote has been completed Thursday night and they approved starting the 2020-21 season on Dec. 22 and playing a reduced 72-game schedule, a source told ESPN.

The NBA/NBPA now will finish up financial terms on an amended collective bargaining agreement, which will take into next week, sources said.

The trade moratorium is expected to be lifted shortly prior to Nov. 18 draft.
