GSW’s Green to miss Christmas game vs. Bucks

NBA

Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green will miss his second straight game to start the season Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a foot injury.

Green was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice after missing Tuesday’s season-opening blowout loss to the Brooklyn Nets, but coach Steve Kerr said the three-time All-Star would remain sidelined for the Christmas Day game in Milwaukee.

Kerr said the Warriors hoped to have Green back for their game Sunday against the Chicago Bulls or Tuesday’s contest against the Detroit Pistons.

Green initially injured his foot during a practice last week and had an MRI to make sure the injury wasn’t serious. The MRI came back clean, and the Warriors initially listed Green as day-to-day.
