Sale Sharks’ John, 28, was selected for the Welsh Six Nations squad last year but has yet to earn his first cap.

He was due to start against Scotland in March but the match was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wales are second in the standings with two wins from two. They host holders England in their next game on Feb. 27.
