Sources: Magic, Ross working on contract buyout

NBA

Guard Terrence Ross and the Orlando Magic are working on a contract buyout, allowing him to become a free agent, sources told ESPN.

Ross, who had interest among several teams at the trade deadline, is expected to have conversations with a few teams on the possibility of joining them for the rest of the season.

As long as Ross agrees to a buyout by March 1, he’s eligible to be on his new team’s playoff roster.

Ross, 32, has played seven seasons in Orlando and shot 38% this year on three-pointers. Ross played his first five NBA seasons with the Toronto Raptors and averaged 11 points and 36% three-point shooting for his career.
