Moments and analysis from Tiger Woods’ second round at the Masters

Golf

Tiger Woods is back in action at his 26th Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

Woods started out strong with a 1-under mark through 13 holes Thursday. He began late because of a weather delay and had to wait overnight to finish his first round after play was suspended, teeing off again at 7:50 a.m. Friday. That means he’ll play 23 holes Friday, adding to the challenge of making the cut for a record 24th consecutive time at the Masters. Tiger finished his first round 1 over par after the break, 8 shots back of the lead.

One thing is for certain: Although he’s no longer the overwhelming force he was when he was younger, Woods is still one of the most exciting golfers in the sport as he looks to come one step closer to Jack Nicklaus’ record 18 major wins.

Here’s how Woods fared on and off the fairway at the Masters.
