Sources: Sandhagen, Edgar agree to Feb. 6 fight

The UFC is finalizing an important bantamweight fight for early 2021, as Cory Sandhagen and Frankie Edgar have verbally agreed to meet on Feb. 6, sources told ESPN on Friday.

The fight represents a meeting between two of the best 135-pounders in the world.

Sandhagen (13-2) is coming off a second-round TKO win over Marlon Moraes in October, while Edgar (24-8-1), the former UFC lightweight champion, won his long-awaited bantamweight debut in August when he defeated Pedro Munhoz via split decision.

The bout is expected to be the co-main event for the Fight Night card, which doesn’t have a finalized location just yet.
