Khasan Magomedsharipov, the younger brother of UFC featherweight contender Zabit Magomedsharipov, has signed an exclusive contract with Bellator MMA.

Khasan’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, confirmed the signing to ESPN on Wednesday, following an initial report by MMAJunkie.com. Bellator has not yet announced the signing, or indicated when Khasan will make his promotional debut.

Khasan (5-0) has trained in the U.S. alongside his brother, under veteran MMA coach Mark Henry in New Jersey. The brothers are originally from Russia and have been training in martial arts since a young age.

Zabit (18-1), 29, is unbeaten in six UFC appearances. He is in featherweight title contention going into 2021, but expectations are just as high for his 20-year-old younger brother. Khasan also competes in the 145-pound featherweight division.

Khasan has won four of his five professional bouts by stoppage.
