The PFL announced its next round of light heavyweight and welterweight matchups Wednesday, with the June 17 event serving as the final opportunity for fighters in those classes to earn points toward a berth in the 2021 playoffs.

Among the most notable matchups, promotion newcomer Rory MacDonald (22-6-1) will face Gleison Tibau (34-15) in a welterweight main event, 2019 PFL champion Ray Cooper III (21-7-1) will face Nikolai Aleksakhin (16-5), and light heavyweights Antonio Carlos Jr. (11-5) and Vinny Magalhaes (19-12) will square off in a pivotal bout.

The event will take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and air on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

A former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger, MacDonald is atop the 170-pound leaderboard with a finish in his last fight, along with Cooper. Both have already earned six points with first-round finishes.

Former UFC veterans Cezar Ferreira (14-8) and Carlos currently lead the 205-pound class. Carlos’ bout against Magalhaes is an important one for Magalhaes, as he withdrew from his opening-round bout against Jordan Young last month.
