The Mikaela Mayer-Maiva Hamadouche junior welterweight unification title bout will take place as a main event on Nov. 5 in Las Vegas, a source told ESPN on Sunday.

The fight will be the second defense of the WBO junior welterweight title for Mayer (15-0, 5 KOs), who beat Erica Farias by a unanimous decision in June.

Hamadouche (22-1, 18 KOs) has held the IBF junior welterweight title since 2016. She last fought in December 2020, stopping Nina Pavlovic in the eighth round. Her only career defeat is to Delfine Persoon in November 2015, when she fought for the WBC lightweight title.

Mayer had been hoping for a main event at some point in 2021, she told ESPN at the beginning of the year, and this will give her that opportunity. The fight will be at the Virgin Hotels and air on ESPN+.
