UFC has announced it will host a fight night in the UK, which will be the first time in three years.

The event, to be held in London on March 19th, is the first of its kind since Jorge Masvidal recorded a stunning knockout win over Liverpool’s Darren Till at the O2 Arena in March 2019 at UFC 147.

The coronavirus pandemic saw the 2020 event cancelled, which was set to be headlined by Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodley.

It will now return to the 02 Arena, with it being the UFC’s 12th event on UK soil.

UFC President Dana White said in a statement: “Every time we put on an event in London it’s an unbelievable experience. The fans are incredible, and the fights are always off the charts.

“It’s a different kind of energy in England. And I can’t wait to get back there with a fight card on March 19th.”

No fights have yet been confirmed for the event, with tickets set to go on sale Feb. 4.
