England vs South Africa, 2nd Test, Day 2 Live Score Updates: A century from captain Ben Stokes and a fifty from wicketkeeper Ben Foakes put England in control of the proceedings against South Africa on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. The England captain struck Simon Harmer for a six over long-on to cross the 50-run mark, and is racing towards his century now. Foakes too reached his half-century. Earlier, Anrich Nortje brought the guests back in the game with the wickets of Jonny Bairstow and Zak Crawley. England had the upper hand over South Africa on the opening day as well after bundling out the visitors for 151. The hosts then ended Day 1 at 111/3. Trailing the Proteas by just 40 runs at stumps, Bairstow and Crawley had resumed the England innings on Day 2.
