India vs England: Fan Accurately Predicts Sarfaraz Khan’s Run-Out, Internet Stunned

Debutant Sarfaraz Khan‘s maiden innings for the Indian cricket team was short-lived as the batter got himself run out after a terrible mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja on Day 1 of the third Test against England. Sarfaraz scored a stunning 62 runs off 66 balls, striking at a rate of over 90 in his maiden innings for the Indian team. But, the young lad’s hopes of converting this start into a triple-digit score were shattered following the miscommunication with Jadeja. However, what is interesting is that a fan had already predicted this on social media.

An account on X (formerly Twitter), wrote that Jadeja would get Sarfaraz run out and then do the sword celebration. “Jadeja is gonna get Sarfraz run out and then do the sword celebration,” the post on X read.

The same happened as Jadeja completed his hundred not long after Sarfaraz was run out. He celebrated the triple-digit score with his customary sword-swinging celebration, though this time he wasn’t as enthusiastic as he usually is.

Fans on social media were left stunned seeing the prediction coming true. Some even started to ask the person predictions about their personal lives and other sporting events.

Sarfaraz’s surge to international level has been much anticipated by fans, who have kept an eye on his domestic cricket form. He has been thriving in first-class cricket, most notably the Ranji Trophy, where he top-scored in 2021-22 with 982 runs in six matches, placed fifth in the 2019-20 season with 928 runs in six matches, scoring well in the 2022-23 season as well with 556 runs in six matches.

In the unofficial Test series of three matches against England Lions earlier, Sarfaraz did well for India A, scoring 96 in a Tour match then 4, 55, and 161 in two unofficial Tests.

In 45 first-class matches, Sarfaraz scored 3,912 runs at an average of 69.85, with 14 centuries and 11 fifties, with the best score being 301*.
