Sources: Injured Hall drops UFC fight vs. Lamas

MMA

UFC featherweight Ryan Hall has been forced to withdraw from a scheduled bout against Ricardo Lamas next week due to an injury, sources confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.

Hall (7-1) was supposed to fight Lamas on the main card of UFC Fight Night on Aug. 29 in Las Vegas. Sources close to Hall said the injury should not sideline the fighter for an extended period of time.

The UFC has not yet announced Hall’s withdrawal or a new opponent, but sources told ESPN that they will try to replace him on the card.

MMAJunkie.com first reported the news.

It’s a disappointing development for Hall, who is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC but has struggled to consistently find fights. He has not fought more than once in a calendar year during his entire time with the UFC, which began in 2015.
