The UFC is officially getting into the NFT business.

The mixed martial arts promotion announced on Thursday it has partnered with Dapper Labs, the same company behind NBA Top Shot and NFL ALL DAY, to launch its own NFT this weekend. Fans will be able to purchase “moments” of UFC history beginning on Sunday.

The launch, titled UFC Strike, will consist of 100,000 packs of three “NFT Moments,” highlights of UFC action and finishes from multiple camera angles. As well as the footage, the NFTs include announcer commentary and crowd reactions. Packs will be priced at $50 each.

A second round of 100,000 additional packs will be made available on Jan. 31.

“Dapper Labs is an innovator in this field, creating an industry that didn’t exist a few years ago,” said UFC senior vice president of global consumer products Tracey Bleczinski. “Their vision for the potential of these products is the reason UFC chose Dapper Labs as its first NFT partner. We’re thrilled to finally be able to offer these amazing digital collectibles to enrich the UFC experience for our fans.”

The launch will come one day after UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou defends his title against interim champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in Anaheim, California. Ngannou released his own NFT collectible last year and recently announced he plans to take half of his undisclosed pay for Saturday’s fight in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
